The Environmental Sustainability of Old Buildings

November 2008

Dragon Hall

Dragon HallThis seminar provided an opportunity to explore the current issues surrounding climate change and its impact on buildings built before 1920. Delegates also found out what English Heritage is doing to provide homeowners with the necessary information to make change. Case studies examined how architects and sustainability specialists are responding to the needs of homeowners to sustainably upgrade their own homes.

After lunch in the South Hall, the seminar concluded with a talk by Terry Hickman Smith, lead Architect on the sustainable redevelopment of the Grade 1 listed medieval Dragon Hall, one of the most important buildings in Norwich.
