Building in Context: Analysing Successful High Density Housing:
The Design and Environment Champions Network Workshop 1

January 24th 2008
Cambridge

Accordia

This workshop was held on 24th January 2008 in the Grade 2 listed English Heritage Building which over looks the case study site. A total of 42 participants attended the Building in Context workshop, which has been designed to provide practical tools to analysis sites and character appraise the context of a development in and adjoining historic areas.

Rob Cowan, nationally renowned commentator on urban design led this training event to analyse Accordia, the Building for Life award winning scheme based in Cambridge. A tour of the Accordia site formed part of the day.

A brief summary of the case study can be downloaded here and also on the Building in Context website:

This event series is funded by CABE and English Heritage.
