18 extra care apartments and communal facilities, together with a Dementia day care unit replaced the two semi-detached Victorian Villas which lay between the existing MHA residential units on either side. It created an essential link between the existing units and provided communal facilities for activities and dining. Accessed from the rear, the Dementia Day Care Centre shared the cooking facilities of the MHA, and was provided with a secure garden and other facilities.
